The Tenstar Pedestal supports a variety of machines, such as the Dozer, Track Excavator, Mobile Crane and Wheel Loader. Together with the VR headset, the user will have a complete simulation experience without the need for additional screens or larger hardware setups. It has full compatibility with our quick-switch solution joysticks, and offers the option of operating with or without pedals.
Virtual Reality Avatar offers the students the possibility to interact with the vehicles. Get to know all the the details or carry out an interactive pre-start check. It is possible to use the hand controls to move around, grab things, checking machines, and now even communicating with operators in other machine simulators in real time. All you need is a VR headset, two hand controls and a computer.
Several years ago, we introduced Multi Machine Environment - MME, to the world of simulation. Now, we have evolved this to become Tenstar Virtual Training Space! It is a space, not just for machines, but also vehicles and people.
Tenstar Virtual Training Space, VTS, is the natural evolution of simulation training. It allows multiple users to enter the same space, making interactive, cooperative advanced training possible. Teamwork is essential to any work environment, especially when operating heavy machinery. With the Tenstar simulator, users can safely practice using multiple machines in collaborative exercises. An example of this can be seen in the road construction exercise where a track excavator loads two articulated dump trucks, delivering material to a dozer carrying out final trimming. At the same time, someone can enter the site as a VR avatar in the form of a banksman, site supervisor, or even an instructor, to lead the on-site process from a uniquely immersive first-person perspective.
Up to 4 users can interact as, for example:
- an instructor giving instructions
- a surveyor/grade controller setting out for machines
- a machine banksman/traffic marshal/site supervisor
This provides non-machine operators the unique opportunity to interact with site operations in a safe and controlled environment; the training possibilities are endless!

Routines before driving! Immerse yourself in a first-person environment while inspecting every nook and cranny of the machinery. Oil shortage, broken mirrors, and worn-out tires are key problems that operators face in the real world, but re-creating these issues for reallife practice can be difficult. By practicing in a simulated setting, users can enter these specific scenarios repeatedly, and at their own pace!
The user can interact with the machines by, for example, doing inspection routines before driving.
With the ever increasing adoption of machine control grading systems on todays’ construction sites, the need for quality training to enable the users to get the best from their investment has never been higher. It is not always practical to teach operators on the use of machine control once a construction site is in full production.
During the simulation training the operator can fully focus on understanding every aspects of the grading system. Once on site with the machine no time is lost, the site benefits from the efficiency and cost savings which the machine control system delivers.
Benching, Laser and GPS methods are all available when using the system, this allows the user to decide when it’s correct to use each method of measurement based on the site application. The trainer can be confident the machine operator has the ability to use the machine control system prior to going on to a live construction site.
Through close working partnerships Tenstar Excavator Simulator is compatible with industry leading machine control providers such as Leica, Topcon, Trimble and Novatron. Now the DOZER can be added on the same hardware, working together with the Trimble Earthworks. Simply by adding the chosen machine control providers screen interface to the simulator hardware, the user has the ability to fully train as if installed on an actual machine.
This professional hardware is based on real vehicles and is wireless, which brings you very close to reality. For our Crane Lorry vehicle, you run the exercises via a headset and a control unit on your stomach. This gives you an opportunity to move around freely.
